The Cleveland Browns have lived in headlines this offseason due to their decisions made at the quarterback position. They traded for Kenny Pickett in March, sending Dorian Thompson-Robinson to the Philadelphia Eagles as part of the trade/ They also brought back Joe Flacco after a one-year cup of coffee in Indianapolis. In addition, they drafted both Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
However, it wasn’t the offense that was the focus of the most recent PFF column. Rather, it was a defender for Cleveland that was named one of the most underrated players in the NFL. PFF named Browns linebacker Jordan Hicks as their most underrated Browns player.
“Year 10 in the NFL resulted in a top-10 PFF overall grade at the position for Hicks (77.4), and the best mark of his career since 2018,” Jonathon Macri writes. “He started the year having ceded snaps to Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah as the team’s top linebacker, but after Koramoah’s injury, Hicks regained the role and finished the year as one of just eight linebackers to earn a top-25 PFF grade in run defense (77.7) and coverage (70.0), proving there’s still plenty left in the tank for the near-33-year-old linebacker heading in 2025.”
Hicks had 78 tackles last year in his first season with the Browns. For his career, he has 952 tackles and 13 interceptions.
