The NFC West Division got a key swing in offseason momentum on Thursday.
The Los Angeles Rams signed a former Pro Bowler that almost agreed to a contract earlier this offseason with the San Francisco 49ers.
It’s big offensive tackle D.J. Humphries, a long-time Arizona Cardinals lineman, who is heading to Hollywood.
His agency announced the signing Thursday evening:
Humphries will turn 32 in December. The former first-round pick out of Florida has played exactly 100 NFL games.
His first eight years were with the Cardinals, including his 2021 Pro Bowl season.
He spent the end of the 2024 season with the Chiefs.
Humphries is certainly plenty familiar with the NFC West.
The Rams have solid tackle depth, with the whole offensive line group led by veteran right tackle Rob Havenstein.
Humphries brings another experienced blocker to an already old offense that will try to take advantage of its closing contention window with quarterback Matthew Stafford.
