Although Dallas Cowboys owner has made it clear he has no intentions of trading Micah Parsons, that hasn’t stopped the star linebacker from making contact with retired LA Rams linebacker Aaron Donald.
Donald is retired, but it seems he may come out of retirement to play with Parsons if he ends up with the Rams.
Donald said this after Rams fan “Ram Blang Man” posted a picture of Parsons in a Rams uniform, which seemed to excite him.
“If [Micah Parsons] go to the rams I might have to call [2Tenths Speed & Agility] and get in football shape,” Donald wrote, adding a pair of laughing emojis. “wit that Dline would be unreal.”
Parsons, who was tagged in the same post, responded. “[M]an!!! Dont tell me info like that!! @davidmulugheta,” Parsons wrote, as he tagged his agent, David Mulugheta, in the comment.
Donald was an All-Pro with the Rams who retired last year, but has teased since his retirement of being tempted to return. But so far, Donald has stayed put, but who knows? This may be the thing that brings him back to the team.
But clearly, it would take a lot for Jones to even consider this kind of blockbuster trade although many teams are willing to talk, but the Rams haven’t indicated interest in a trade either, but that could change.
Both teams are in training camp together, so there is plenty of time to discuss a trade, but would either be bold enough to pull it off? We all have to tune in and see.
If Parsons is talking to other players on another team, that’s not good for the Cowboys. Parsons hasn’t talked to the team since he announced he wanted to be traded a few days ago.
