The Los Angeles Dodgers have cycled through pitchers in a hurry this season.
The latest to come and go is Jose Ureña.
The 33-year old right-hander made two appearances for the Dodgers before he was designated for assignment on Tuesday.
Ureña cleared waivers and elected free agency rather than return to Triple-A.
He allowed just a lone run in three innings with L.A., striking out two.

Ureña has already pitched this season for the Mets, Blue Jays and now the Dodgers.
He’s got a 5.40 ERA on the season, although that was 3.00 in his mega-small sample size with Los Angeles.
Ureña has pitched 11 seasons in the big leagues with a 4.78 ERA. About two-thirds of his pitching outings have been as a starter, but he’s been majority a reliever in the past couple seasons.
Given how much Ureña has already been pursued in low-end roles this season, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be long before he gets another opportunity.
He did well enough for the Dodgers with his patented sinking fastball to certainly have impressed someone. Teams are already calling.
